Pocket Timesheet

A time clock app for your iPhone

Pocket Timesheet is a time clock that lives on your own phone. Tap Clock In when your shift starts and Clock Out when it ends; breaks go in as paid or unpaid. It adds up your hours and overtime and estimates the gross pay you should see on your check. It’s coming to iPhone and isn’t on the App Store yet.

It’s made for the person doing the work, not for an employer managing a team. There’s no company account and nothing to set up at work: your shifts stay on your phone, and you decide what to share, usually a PDF timesheet of the pay period, sent from the share sheet.

The free version has no limit on how many shifts you clock. Until it launches, the calculator above does the same counting in your browser: type a clock-in and clock-out for each day and it totals the week, overtime included.

Worked example: Half-hour past the hour

$20.00/h · overtime over 40 h a week at 1.5×

8.50 hours (8:30): regular 8.50, overtime 0.00. Estimated gross $170.00: regular $170.00 + overtime $0.00.

What the free version does, and what Pro adds

Free: a live clock-in and clock-out, manual entry and editing for shifts you forgot to clock, paid and unpaid breaks, shifts that run past midnight, weekly overtime with an optional daily rule, an estimate of gross pay for the pay period, and a PDF timesheet of the current period with signature lines.

Pro: more than one job, your own overtime limits and multipliers including double time, custom pay periods, export of your whole history as CSV or PDF, reminders, a Live Activity and widgets, and an automatic backup file in your iCloud Drive. Pro will be offered yearly or as a one-time purchase; prices come at launch.

Questions

Is there a free time clock app?

Pocket Timesheet will have a free version with no cap on shifts or entries. It isn’t released yet; join the waitlist for one email at launch. The calculator on this page is free to use now.

How does clock in, clock out work?

Tap Clock In when you start and Clock Out when you finish. The app records both times, takes off unpaid breaks, and adds the shift to your week. You can also type a shift in later.

Is it a time clock for my whole team?

No. It’s a personal app for your own hours. There are no employer accounts or team features.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Shifts are stored on the phone, so clocking in and out works offline.

When can I download it?

It’s in development. Join the waitlist and you’ll get one email when it’s on the App Store.
